Web 3.0 is lean, clean and green: Use public transportation on the information super highway

Tim Sanders has discovered a new movement afoot in the web world: socially responsibility web programming.  Initially, he noticed an underground conversation about low power , purpose-driving programming that reduces the energy use by its users.  If Google had a different color scheme (less white, more gray or muted color), there is evidence it could save a massive amount of energy.  Most programmers, though, don't realize that they have the power to create the web equivalent of the Prius.  According to Sanders, social responsibility and sustainability are about to jump out of heavy manufacturing and consumer goods – and squarely into the computer programming and web world, changing the basis for competition for capital, eye balls and top talent.

Tim Sanders is a combination of Warren Buffet and Paul Hawken and is an irrepressible advocate for good values in the business world. His first book, Love is the Killer App, was both a New York Times and international bestseller.  As the Chief Solutions Officer at Yahoo!, Inc. from 2001 to 2005, he worked on next-generation business strategies.  He has been featured in Time Magazine, USA Today, Fast Company and the Washington Post, and has appeared on the Today Show, CNN, and Fox and Friends.
